English: With the global transition toward sustainable and low-carbon energy, both traditional and renewable energy systems are facing increasing challenges in enhancing efficiency, reducing emissions, and achieving effective system integration. Accurate numerical simulation and advanced optimization techniques are essential for the design, analysis, and operation of these complex systems. This session focuses on recent advances in modeling and simulation methods applied to a wide range of energy technologies, including conventional fossil-based systems, renewable energy applications, and energy storage solutions. Particular attention is given to various forms of energy storage, such as latent heat thermal energy storage (LHTES), thermochemical energy storage, and compressed air energy storage (CAES). The session also welcomes contributions on hydrogen storage technologies, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and the simulation and optimization of oil and natural gas transportation systems. The objective is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and support the development of next-generation simulation and optimization tools for intelligent, efficient, and reliable energy systems.
